This was a complete refurbishment of a five storey townhouse in the heart of Kensington completed whilst at BetterPAD.

The ground floor and lower ground floor were reworked to provide space for entertaining by the replacement of existing glazed and rendered extensions with new London stock brick extensions, tying these new sections of the house back into the rear elevation. With large rooflights and Crittall style doors and windows on both levels, the new spaces add natural light into the deep plans. The ground floor hosts the more formal reception and dining areas, with a snug room overlooking the beautiful rear garden below. The lower ground floor was opened up to create a large kitchen and dining space, leading out into the rear garden.

The first floor hosts the new master suite, with a large ensuite and dressing room. The layout of the upper floors was then largely maintained, but refinished to create a refined home for a growing family with bedrooms, bathrooms and two office spaces.

Externally, both the front and rear gardens were redesigned to provide complementary external spaces to the elegance of the internal spaces. The house incorporates solar panels on its uppermost roof.
